BRACKRIDGE: BORN FROM FRUSTRATION

Brackridge was founded by Vincent, out of a simple observation: in the seat cover market, you had to choose between good design and easy installation. Never both.

Vincent spent his weekends searching for seat covers that could dress up his car without making it look like a work van. What he found was either overpriced and built for professional installers, or cheap, badly cut, and impossible to fit alone in under an hour without cursing at least three times. Neither option worked for him, and he was far from the only one running into that wall.

Rather than keep searching, he started pulling the problem apart himself: why did good design and easy installation seem to be mutually exclusive? The answer almost always came back to the same thing — products engineered to be manufactured as cheaply as possible, not designed around the person actually installing them at home on a Sunday afternoon, with no clear instructions in hand.
